Hi, I’m Heather. I’m a fully qualified and insured person-centred counsellor based in Telford, providing trauma-informed talking therapy.
MBACP registered- 411037

Hi I’m Heather. I believe that therapy is fundamentally a process of repairing the relationship that you have with yourself. I trust that all people know how to get back to their true selves. I’m here to walk beside you while you find it.
I work with adults who come to me with a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, life transitions, self-esteem, identity, grief, and trauma. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply looking to understand yourself more deeply, therapy can provide a space for reflection, growth, and healing.
Offering therapy that is accessible to everyone is important to me and I am pleased to be able to offer a select number of Pay What You Can slots to clients who may feel they would like therapy and would otherwise not be able to access it. Please contact me to find out more.
Where do you work?
For the moment, I offer online sessions. This means you can have therapy from a location of your choice, as long as it’s private and secure.
Who do you work with?
I work with young people (16+) and adults who may be experiencing loss, illness, anxiety, depression, or struggling with trauma from the past. Importantly, people don’t need to be in crisis to have counselling. Lots of people will say that they don’t know what’s wrong, they just know something isn’t right. If that is the case then we can just start from the beginning and go from there.
My practice is proudly sex-positive and LGBTQIA+ inclusive. I welcome people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, relationship styles, and expressions of sexuality. I recognise that experiences of identity, intimacy, and relationships are deeply personal, and I strive to create an affirming environment where every part of you is welcome. Whether you’re exploring your identity, navigating relationships, or looking for support without fear of judgement or assumptions, you will be met with openness, respect, and compassion.
As a person who identifies as neurodivergent, I also welcome and affirm neurodivergent clients. I recognise that everyone’s way of experiencing and interacting with the world is unique, and I aim to provide a therapeutic space that is flexible, accepting, and responsive to your individual needs.
What actually happens in therapy?
It’s hard to describe other than by saying you talk and I listen. But it’s so much more than that. It’s an hour to hopefully feel that you can unravel and examine experiences or parts of you that have been hidden or suppressed. Bringing things into the light, without fear of judgment or expectations, can sometimes help you to reevaluate your past and your present self.

I know that it can feel like a big leap to contact a counsellor. How do you know if I’m the right person for you?
That’s why I offer a 30 minute consultation call free of charge before booking. It’s not therapy but it is a good chance for us to get know each other a little bit before you make a decision.
